Who can argue for 200 cdrs for 5 bux? My god people are complaining that they are junk.. if your that worried make 2 or 3 copies of a cd and put one somewhere that is never touched. I havent had a problem with prime peripherals before and its worth the 5 bux or so that you would be paying for 200. Its a definent buy in my book.

MAD RUSH indeed.
I tried to call CompUSA up to place a hold on 2 memory sticks.
CSR lied big time. Out of stock.
When I went there. There were 50 of these at the computer upgrade center already and:
They just keep bringing them out.

I grabbed the last WebCam but one guy insists on getting it for his nephew so I gave him. It's useless for me anyway. They were out of free after MIR modems and sound cards. Told a CSR to hold 2 sticks for me. They better keep it. Can't buy more than 2 sticks with a credit card i think.
MAD RUSH, biggest sale of the year. Everything's cheaper than hell.

don't remember who, but someone said these were 4x50 spindle bundles...mine where 2x100's. CDRIdentifier gave this:

ATIP: 97m 32s 19f
Disc Manufacturer: Prodisc Technology Inc.
Assumed Dye type: Phthalocyanine (Type 9)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 702.83MB (79m 59s 74f / LBA: 359849)

Prodisc was listed on CD Media World as "not enough information to rate" or something like that...the discs have a light green bottom and a white/silver/grey top thin label. I don't care if they only last me 3 months...I'll just use them for back ups or stuff that I won't need to keep for a long time.

Well I guess it don't matter how good they are to me, I placed my order and added a glue stick, some floppies and some paper clips and used a $10 coupon and paid $43.62 so after a $45 rebate I come out ahead.

Got mine. I'll take something if I'm paid to. Dropped a cd wallet on the tab to get it over fifty, then i used that $10 off and free shipping. If they really are crap, i'll get my money's worth by nuking them as entertainment.

you need the barcode AND a reciept for the rebate obviously.

I have a 50 pack of these cd-rs and they work ok. Work a lot better than the damned imation cd-rs. and atleast at my store, these are the ones WITH labels, not just plain backed cd-rs...

EDIT:
Oh yeah, we had about 10 people standing in our lobby this (sunday) morning when we opened...we ran out on the shelf a few hours later, but then the manager found like 12 more cases of them in the power max freight that hadn't been put out yet(I didnt find them because the boxes only said "Okie Corporation" without any mention of the prime peripherals brand so I hadnt paid any attention to them). if anyone goes to a store and they dont have any, ask them to check if they got any in on power max(omax's distribution system).

First one their on Sunday morning :D Don't know the exact quality, but they burn fine at 12x on my TDK Velo (burned 5 disc already), so no complaints from me. The best thing of all is that they even give you an additional receipt just for the MIR so you don't even need to photo copy an extra one. They come in 2x100 and have thin coating on top layer.

These are the only CDR's I have been able to make VCD's that my Sony Home DVD player will recognize. I have tried top of the line to bottom of the barrel....only these work. So, they aint that bad. I did notice some music dying off these after a couple of months. But thats ok, after 3 months, I am making a new cd anyway cause I am bored with music that was on them.

You get what you pay for... If they were all that hot shiite then they wouldn't be givin' 'em away now would they? They'll work fine for MP3's etc... Now if you want a good CDR try an Imation or Acer...;)
