For all you asians and well non asians out there. I am asian. I think the fork/knife/spoon combo works better and has so much more versatility and ease of use. Some (cough HAWK cough among others) people say i'm "white" for that among other thing. Heck i'm an immigrant for god's sake. Sure i've got no accent and cant speak a native language. And i listen to hip hop and punk no way huh? I hate that crap. sorry had to rant.

but really i'd like your opinion on that chopstick fork thing, to get a definitive answer. There is a poll to so click on it on the right top corner.

haha. "Whitewashed" means that you're americanized...its somewhat derogatory though. Its similar to twinkie and banana.

Oh, chopsticks are way better then the fork/knife/spoon combo. I use both, however, but I tend to favor chopsticks because of my heritage. That, and its cool to run around with chopsticks in your back pocket.

Another vote for the amazing Spork.

To "whitewash" something (usually the wall of a house or something like that) is to paint it completely stark white.

edit: oh, well n/m:). Looks like I'm not up to speed with my racial slurs, darn....

whitewash?? i think that applies to taking a victim, sometimes littlest kid, sometimes cute girl. And depending if its the first type of victim or second, you push them into snow, usually a pile, and if the victim is not a cute girl you roughly rub some snow in their face, try stuffing some down their pants, up the shirt, and generally make em uncomfortable. Usually you do it to friends. If victim is cute girl, well maybe you don't do it, just flip a little in her face or something. IF your daring you can try to get a little in places that it might be interesting to see her try to get out.
But never in icy grity snow do you white wash anyone.

it actually depends on what you are eating... but generally, the fork/spoon (no knife!) combination works best for me.

Which one is better depends on your personal preference. Personally, I think chopsticks are rather primitive tools -- but that could be because I'm just not used to them. Give me a good fork and a knife any day........ That doesn't make you 'white' or 'asian' or anything else -- it means you prefer one tool over another. Tell your friend to go fly a kite, he's an idiot.

<< I think chopsticks are rather primitive tools >>

Forks are even more primitive. Come on, you just poke it into your food, no brains required.

<< Its similar to twinkie >>

nope nope a twinkie is a person who is new to the rave scene, primarily heavly into drugs mostly e, another word for twinkie is e-tard.
they like to dress candy and talk about plur.
usually 14-15 sneeking outta their house to go to raves.
they are cool because they are going to "that big rave this weekend".
when i went to highskool they would come up and talk to me and ask me if i could get them good deals on drugs (i cant) and i could lend them my tapes (i didnt) or if they could get a ride to that big rave with me this weekend (sorry not going), or to brag about what dj they just met (im not a dj ho thankyouverymuch).

*kat. <-- doesnt think shes better than twinkies, but is older and wiser.
<-- really not elite.

It only takes me 14 hours to finish my soup with chopsticks, but I still love them. As a side note Koreans add scissors to the combination, so it is chopsticks, spoon, scissors.

A twinkie is yellow on the outside, white on the inside. Implying that the accused is a person who looks asian but acts "white."

Last I checked, a twinkie was a tasty food item.

history helps...

whitewash whitewash preceeded paint... it was used to color rocks & buildings, a very thin coating.

In the context of non-anglos, it is a denigating term that implies a thin coating of white over the real color. An attempt to mimic anglo & hide the true ethnic background.

Whatever works best for *you*--chopstick or f/s/k--is the best to use.

Whitewash: a judgement that someone is trying to be "white".

Couple of years ago, the term "Whigger" was applied to white teens who were trying to be "black".

All Chauvinist and self-esteem issues.

a classic example of real"whitewash"is in the mark twain novel Tom Sawyer. tom is supposed to whitewash the fence ,i.e, paint the fence with this cheap paint stuff, and he convinces others that he is having so much fun doing it that the other people eventually do the job for him. yeah it means becoming too anglo and abandoning your own "ethnic" traditions. i wanna be "euro-american" instead of white.

Forks and spoons are nice sometimes, but hey, sometimes chopsticks are nice.. To me it really depends on the meal and my mood at the time

Whitewash was used by poor people who cannot afford paint. I think it was just lime and water. It had to be done at least once a year, maybe more.

I'm not asian, but I prefer chopsticks for most asian dishes, and f/s/k for many others. It all depends on what I'm eating. As far as skill goes, go ahead and eat your soup with chopsticks... I prefer to use what's best for each dish.

*Wow! Look! I didn't know Americans could use chopsticks!*

Come on people you have to vote for the fork/spoon/knife combo. I mean can you cut with a chopstick, can you spread butter with a chopstick, can you twist noodles around a chopstick with one hand. People I think i have made myself quite clear, there is no way that a single untensil can compare to the abilities of 3 seperate tools. I admit that the competition is not fair it is 3-1, I could understand people voting for the chopsticks if it was only against a fork, BUT on the numbers alone you have to go with the combo. Next time you eat a steak you come to me and tell me where your chopstick is then, you just tell me where it is....then.

chopsticks whenever I'm at a chinese restaurant, or grandma's house. Fork/knife for everything else.
