Does anyone else see what's bad about this?

In the ATOT community, an overwhelming majority of us are using Firefox. Why? Because of fewer exploits, better security, etc.

Once the average joe blow idiot starts using Firefox, a few hackers are going to work harder to find some security problem... script kiddies are going to copy their work, and firefox will begin to suck.

I tried switching to FireFox, but I keep going back to IE (mainly cause I have to support IE at work).

I think FireFox does have a good future ahead of it.

Werd up! No idea how these fools get the crap on their system in the first place...the way IE on my system, and probably yours too, is configured, I don't get any BS. Just smooth browsing and no hassle.

Correlation != Causation
I don't buy the constant argument that FOSS software is more secure simply because its a smaller target ... Apache vs. IE is a good counter example.

The only people I know who still use IE are Microsoft employees and stockholders.

I like FireFox too, but I also have to use IE since some of the backend systems we use don't work correctly with it. FF also seems to be a system hog on my older laptop for some reason.

Instead of just using plain IE though I at least use AvantBrowser so I can get tabbed browsing and lots of similar goodies. I actually prefer its interface to FireFox now that I've been using it for awhile. Stay up to date on your patches, virus scans, spyware, etc (as you should regardless of your browser choice) and it's actually pretty sweet.

NEVER got any spyware on my system... just don't install it when it asks you to, and don't visit sites with malicious activex codes.
Or let dumbasses that just click Ok so they can just get to the porn use your PC.

My college's Blackboard site just recently added a javascript checker to stop us from using anything but IE to take certain quizzes, when it worked in the past.

Changing the useragent doesn't help, either.

It sucks that a lot of people don't know Firefox has the features they want, only available through extensions. I hope the new Mozilla Update will be released soon. With its search capabilities, it should help resolve this issue.

I use some webites that only work with IE. I was wondering if there was a way to make Firefox appear as if it's IE to a website?

IE because I don't have a problem with it and I am more used to the feel of it. Firefox almost has it copied completely though.

FF, of course.... except for the one lame radio stream in SLC who demands using ie... which is yet another reason i hardly ever listen to it any more anyway
