Good god, I hope I wasn't as haughty as you when I was a vegetarian. I didn't eat meat for about 6.5 years, then I decided to go on a trek where it was required for me to get my necessary protein requirements.

Heart disease can be linked to unhealthy meat-eating diets, just like diabetes can be linked to unhealthy vegetarian diets. Regardless, both diets can be healthy, if you know what you're doing. Stop acting so sanctimonious.

Beef > Pork > Chicken > Lamb = Fish = Seafood

Also depends on how it is prepared, I love some type of cooking fish but steamed fish = eww....

beef , then either chicken or fish. i love the heavy meaty taste of beef; chicken or fish taste too light for me sometimes

I voted shellfish, as I really really love king Crab legs, Dungeoness Crab, and Snow Crab legs. I also really like crawfish and lobster.
However, I probably eat chicken the most often, as its the most versitile IMO. Then hmm, I really like a good porterhouse steak, and I eat steak at least once a week when its decent BBQ weather (not raining/snowing, not too windy, less than 80deg F, and more than 20degF). Beef is tied with chicken as my second favorite.
Hmm, Pork, Bacon, Ribs ... mmm, Pork is tied for second with Chicken and Beef.
Hmm Rack of Lamb, Gyros, Lamb Chops ... mmm, Lamb is tied for second with Chicken, Pork, and Beef
Turkey, kinda dry, not very versitile (Turkey sausage sucks compared to beef and pork sausage, and turkey bacon sucks), however, when Deep fried, or preperly baked/broled, turker has an awesome taste. This is right below Chicken, Pork, Beef, and Lamb.
Veal is just beef IMO. Its great stuff.
Fish, ehhh ... most fish are yucky IMO, however i really enjoy shellfish, which is seperate from fish in this poll.

Message for all vegans: MMMMM MEAT IS GOOD!

Pacific Salmon and Chilean Sea Bass. mmmm.

As for the poster above, king crab legs and lobster tails and scallops are really really good too. But the health factor goes to fish for me - salmon, halibut, mahi mahi, sea bass - there are a lot of good fish out there.

I went with steak but I feel "shellfish" is too generic for stuff like Lobster and Crab. I could totally live on crab and lobster. :)
