I mostly listen to classical music, but a little bit o' modern stuff is good for me every now and then. Here, in order from the 1st being the best to the last being the least, are my favorite rock bands of the 90's+:

I like this list but where is Liszt!? Where is Mahler!? Where is Stravinsky!? But Rachmaninov is probably my most favorite.


 
I am too old to know who is who and what is what in the music scene any more. Half the time I have to listen to the Smooth Jazz station to keep from killing people...

I do like the Smashing Pumpkins, and Blink 182 is amusing.

Still, I am old school so I have to stick with Collective Soul and Live.
 
Most bands these days freakin suck.

But some bands manage to stand out.

As far as modern rock goes, I like Nickleback, APC, and UPO. I'd put Godsmack in there, but they are a little to heavy to be considered plain old rock.
