i like tomatoes more than anything else on that list, and although i know it is a fruit, i have a hard time associating them with the likes of bananas or oranges, which are my fave fruit fruits.

So is a cucumber.
cucumbers, squash, pumpkins, basically anything that contains seeds is fruit.
technically, vegetables are like leaves and stalks of the plant. fruits are the part that contain the seeds.
Definately a fruit.Originally posted by: Rastus
Is Richard Simmons a fruit, or a vegetable?
I tend to look at it the other way around, vegetables are a subset of fruit, lol.Originally posted by: silverpig

Actually, not quite. Tomatoes, apples, strawberries, etc are all vegetables AND fruit. Fruit are a subset of vegetables. A vegetable is any kind of edible plant, and fruit are the ripened ovaries of plants.
Or so I discovered.
