This is a tought one. Big Lebowski is so great, but O Brother is just on another level in my opinion. Its humor and dialogue is almost as spot-on as Lebowski, but the camera work, digital painting (for the sepia-tone feel) and sound/music are just incredible.

hmm...perhaps I'll throw Oh Brother in the dvd player tonight.

Surprisingly, my answer is The Hudsucker Proxy. But I love all their movies, even lackluster ones like Intolerable Cruelty. Looking forward to The Ladykillers.

Raising Arizona was glorious filmaking, a perfect combination of cast, script and direction.

But I also liked all of their other movies I've seen (haven't seen Cruelty or Blood Simple yet), even their collaboration with Sam Raimi - Crimewave

I didn't know the Ladykillers was Coen Bros! I wanted to see it before I knew that, now I can't wait!

It's a tough choice between O Brother or Fargo. I think I'll go for O Brother overall, but Frances McDormand kicks seven kinds of butt in Fargo. Yah!

I still want to watch Hudsucker proxy. Hmmmm...
