Poll: Ever stopped and compared the signs on restroom doors, just in case?

I don't know about you guys and gals, but when I'm heading to a public restroom I usually pause a second outside the men's room and quickly compare the picture of the man and the picture of the woman since there's usually no accompanying text. Sure wish they'd use differing colours or something to make it more intuitive.

Just thought I'd share.

Once...in grade school. It was like a whole other world, all stalls, low lighting, violin music playing softly...

i hear ya...in fact, i get REALLY worried when i'm at outback steakhouse (for instance) and they don't even have signs...just the word "blokes" for dudes (and i forget what women are called)

oh well, a quick peek in works for me. urinals = dudes

Normally I always check but I have made the odd error.
I don't like crowds, so there are times when I will set my eyes on hubby and follow him through a crowd without taking too much notice of 'where' I am going.... Needless to say there have been a couple of times where I followed him right into the mens room. Now he tells me where he is going before he gets there.

I remember one time we were all on vacation and my brother was in dire need of a loo at one of the stop over airports.. guess what he ran into the women's loo.. I was coming out of the mens and saw him going into the womens..

Oh well he came back few minutes later all disguested..


There was a time when my aunt cathy jumped into teh mens room cause the line for the women was too long (she has short hair so it looked like a guy back then)..

oh well here I am taking a leak and I see my aunt walking by me... arrgh!!!!!!

oh well memories.. that is all I can say.

I'd swear that my university has the best restrooms in Toronto, other than having to identify the male/female rooms by the sign. Wide doors and corridors inside to be wheelchair-friendly, with rubber (?) textured floors in case you come in at a dead run. No-touch sinks, toilets and hand dryers, with the option of using paper towels. Colourful posters in front of each urinal so we have something to (pretend) to be busy examining. Oh, and did I mention the piped-in soft rock? Yep, there's nothing quite like humming along to Don Henley's &quot;Boys of Summer&quot; while doing your business.
