I've been on 3.

Carnival - Caribbean
Royal Caribbean - Caribbean
Prince - Alaska

They were all awesome. Yes they are expensive but when you factor in that they include lodging for a week, most meals, lots of entetainment, etc, they are really quite a good deal. And I've never been disappointed on a cruise.

I've been on a cruise through the Greek islands. It was nice but I'm not much of a cruise sort of person, the wife is. If you don't have a lot of time, doing a cruise to get around and see all of the different locations in Greece is probably the best way to do it. For places like the Caribbean and such, I'd much rather just go to some island and stay for a while than do a cruise.

the only cruise i would consider going on (unless it was free) would be to alaska/inside passage
and the boat would have to have internet for free

Cruises are like being in jail with a chance to drown...

Hated the one I was on, only thing good about it was the food & I'm not that big of an eater...

The boyfriend and I are thinking of doing the Eastern Caribbean sometime in the next two years. I'm really looking forwards to St. Maartens but everyone's stories about Nassau have me worried. The only time I've left the country is to visit England and once you leave London you run out of nice people pretty fast. They HATE us, with a passion. Kinda makes me not give a damn about outsiders because they're prejudiced. Plus there's all the petty crime and filth associated with some of these 3rd-world islands they say are "picture-perfect". I'm still planning on going but I'll probably stay on the ship on Port Days (spa treatments are discounted on those days!) and just stay in my room and have sex on the balcony or something, lol!

NO, it was horrible. I went on a seven day cruise through the Carribean last year and I hated it. After the second or third day, I was thinking to myself "How much longer do I have on this damn boat." It gets boring and old fast. Yes, you can eat all you want, but the food gets nasty and old very quick. Yes, there are pools, but that gets old and boring after the first hour. Yes, there is live entertainment, but they are very similar to high school drama productions. I will admit though, stopping at different locations for the day was fun. Thats the only fun part of the cruise. I would never take a cruise for means of traveling again. Id rather fly to a destination and do my thing, because afterall, The boat itself is not a vacation. You can do all of that in your hometown, so why shell out the extra thousands to eat at a buffet and swim in a pool for a week.

Yes I suppose it's not for everyone.

Ya landlubbers! :p

i have been on one and it was fun but there is not enough freedom on a cruise. i would rather set my own schedule on a vacation.

Went on a cruise of the Med. Barcelona - Monte Carlo - Livorno (tuscany) - Naples - Athens (Piraus) - Ephesus - Istanbul - Venice. We did it for our honeymoon and had an absolute blast. Best 14 days of my life so far
