I never seen a blu-ray movie on a HDTV. I used to have a HD-DVD player which I sold to fund my PS3 or Camera buying. I was hoping Spiderman still came with the PS3 so at least i could see what blu-ray movies look like.

id get the DSLR, but im not big on console gaming, and have found my self getting away from computer gaming as i get older, and wishing i had a good camera everywhere i go

Not sure on other versions of the PS3, but the MGS4 bundle also included a blu-ray disc with trailers and what not.

The Nikon D40 is an amazing camera (I'm a Nikon fanboy), but the PS3 is just loads of fun. I would go PS3

I stopped by BestBuy just to see what PS3's they had. Well none are available to look at except the PS3 that you can try out. I ask a BestBuy employee and he stated that none of the PS3's come with movies anymore. That sucks because right now i only have $450. With tax the PS3 would cost about $435, not enough for a game. I'll have to wait little longer.

Just download a tonne of free demos and play those to figure out what games you want.

as much as i want to vote for the camera, if you're still short on time, it's easier to find time for the PS3 versus shooting time for the camera.

My friend just picked up a Canon Digital Rebel XT for <$500 since Best Buy is getting rid of them, lens included (18-55mm).

It's summer for crying out loud, go outside and take pictures.

Rumor has it the Xbox360 is getting a price cut soon. I think there was AD that showed the pro version with a $50 cut. Not sure if it is just that store or it was a microsoft cut across the board.

I would wait at least a week after that before buying a PS3 just in case it drops as well?

I can only buy it through Bestbuy since I have $450 in BestBuy Gift cards at the moment.

I read the rumors also that around E3 the price cut for the Xbox is coming. But I also read several analysts that even with this price cut, Sony will not reduce the price at the moment. Maybe at the end of the year.
