Same, unless it's said in a joking or fvck around way / telling a joke, I do find racism extremely offensive and I've once or twice stepped in when people have called black friends that.
Same goes with a lot of my chinese friends in Scotland, they call each other the C word a lot but it's a different story when someone white uses it in a serious offensive manner.

One thing that I am getting tired of though is black people calling eachother that. I understand the whole concept of "If we use it, it will have less effect/meaning for racists" but it's being overused. I swear it's used after every other word.
