Yep, coffee + cigarette = nature's laxative. Gentle, yet effective.

I always wondered why smoking does that?
they are both stimulants
stimulants = increased alimentary motilty
increased alimentary motilty = time to get a good magazine and close a wing of your house down...

Nicotine has laxative properties similar to caffeine. Combine the two and...BLAMMO! :)

Caffeine in doses above 250mg (about 16oz of coffee) may cause caffeine intoxication which has symptons such as restlessness, diaphoresis, tachycardia, GI pain, diarrhea, and development or exacerbation of anxiety.

EDIT: So, yea, it does.

If this is the case, how come when I drink several cups of coffee (in the morning especially) within 30 minutes its serious go time but if I take a couple NoDoz (2 x 200 mg/ea = 400 mg) no need to go poo-poo occurs?:confused:

have you taken the nodoz in the morning instead of coffee? If you had a turtle head when you took the NoDoz, the results might have been different.

As I said, it may cause caffeine intoxication. It's a different amount for different people, and it's not always a guaranteed thing. Some people have a high tolerance to caffeine and may need as much as 700mg or more.

It appears as though I'll have to pay more attention next time!

That's because there's not much water in that piss. You should drink water until it's clear with a tint of yellow.

Not me... if I drink really crappy coffee I'll feel a little sick, but decent stuff like Millstone, Gevalia, Starbucks, real Hawaiian Kona coffee, etc. is just darn tasty. :)

I drank coffee the night before a final to stay up and study. I ended up getting diarrhea during the final and had to relieve myself.

Yea, I got an A.
