just curious

This is not intended to turn out into a flame, just wondering

By the same token, I will refuse to say what I think

I have yet to be shown any proof that the "theory" of evolution is true.

Therefore, believing it would be blind faith. I think many here ridicule blind
faith, so I'd hate to set myself up for that kind of response.

They may not 'believe' in it, but they sure act scared of it. :D

Evolution as in "big bang" and everyone evolved from goo? No.

Evolution as in adaptation to surroundings for survival? Happens every day. Remember, it doesn't necessarily have to be a physical change.

We are the product of alien seeds, I tell you!

There is plenty of evidence to support this on the web, just look.

I study it in school and see the evidence of it in front of me almost every day.
It's what I want to do with my life - just study human evolution.

If we take the dictionary definition:

<<A gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form.>>

Absolutely Not!

If we are referring to natural selection, adaptation and variety within a species; sure, why not?

Evolution is a crock. Some people think that their hair turning gray is evolution, or that animanls adapting to different climates is evolution. It isn't. The theory of evolution has never been proven. Not one missing link has ever been found to prove this theory. So it stands, just a theory!

I don't believe in it. It's a man made theory, that takes faith to believe, facts are not acurate enough.

I would rather place my faith in creation.

<<So you are saying that new species cannot develop appopin(sic.)?>>

Yes, that is what I am saying. Fish do not become birds. Monkeys do not become human.

<<So is a Mammoth and the african elephant not related at all?>>

Is a chihuahua not related to a great dane at all?

Is a chihuahua not related to a great dane at all? >>> errrmm... thats two dog species right? not so good in english dog names.

Anyway, we look at ourself as human, therefor we know alot about telling eachother apart than other species do. If aliens landed here now and would see a naked human and a naked chimpanse then would he/she be able to tell them a part like we can tell each species of dogs apart?

Well, I would think that if the aliens were smart enough to get here, they would be smart enough to tell humans apart from chimps.

I beleive that evolution is very possible, in the constraints that if it is true, it was :

A) Created and set in motion by God (i.e. - God set the whole thing in motion at the Big Bang)
and
B) Our souls did not eveolve, but where a direct creation by God.

they are breeds of dogs. dogs are all the same species, the same as the wolf, cannis lupis. of course, that is proof of evolution in cannis lupis. its just directed by man instead of by nature. all domesticated animals have radically evolved from their natural state. sheep used to not give wool, for example. dogs all resembled wolves, for another.

thats evolution right there. the little changes between you and your parents, you aren't exactly like them. right? and you're not like your grandparents, you're not like any previous generation. all these little changes over hundreds of generations add up to big change.

So, Czar, let me get this straight, you believe in evolution AND aliens?

Wow!

Toolgirl,
Please send me a list of your "facts" that prove evolution. I'm very interested to see what
evidence you have.

not realy, I think that evolution is in the right direction of the real truth. Aliens do exist, but not like in the movies, mushrooms are aliens for example, they arrived as spores millions of years ago, thats why they are not in any way alike other life here on earth. Spores have been found at the edge of the earth gravity field. If life is here then there is nothing that says that there isnt life somewhere else. We know life can be just about anywhere.
