if my shoes are Filthy,i will take them off as soon as i enter the house;even Your house.

if however i have walked to my car in my "dress" shoes,and drove to your house,and did not have to walk in mud,fresh tar,dog poop to enter your place,then i think that you may be incorrect to say my shoes are "filthy".

As opposed to say, no shoes or shoes you would just wear in a gym for working out, things like that ... Shoes you wouldn't usually wear outdoors.

Lol, now there's someone that respects another person's property. We moved into an apartment, and like all apartments Ive lived in recently it has very light carpet. I take my shoes off, and other people who come to my apartment do too. One didn't and I asked them to. If you don't have enough respect for someone to do something small like that, then they would probably be glad to see you gone

it is a PAIN to clean carpet - moving future, waiting for it to dry, moving furniture back in. that's at my parent's house. in my apt, i don't want any more deductions from my security deposit, so i'll keep it as clean as possible.

What is the difference between inside and outside shoes? With the price of most shoes out there, I wouldn't want to have to buy more than 1 or 2 pairs...

I'm sorry, but only idiots lay white carpet. My sister did the same thing.

What's the use of carpeting if you wear your shoes inside? Might as well go hardwood, it easier to clean.
