I even had a tech job building computers, but I never wore one and neither did my coworkers. We never lost a part to static that I know of. Sometimes the boss would come in and flip out, but he flipped out for just about any reason (WHY HAVEN'T WE GONE TO SUBWAY YET, IT'S ALREADY 11 AM, BBBHRRRBRBBRRBRRR)

I have a strap and an antistatic mat that is grounded to earth.

On my electronics workbench that was donated by my previous employer

I usually dont for 98% of the time.

I only wear one when I'm really paranoid and when there's very little humidity.
