Poll: Do you use xDSL, Cable, Dail up or Else? CAST YOUR VOTE

Isn't it dial-up and not dail up? Sorry, I dont want to be making fun of you or anything but I am just checking...

I am using dial-up darn it. And I am also using free internet service. I really hate it with the stupid banner and sloooow downloads and the fact you can't be connected for extended periods of time. It is so annoying. I cant even do anything about it since my I really dont have any money and my parents don't think it is a necesity yet. Well... time to be a little evil eh. I am building my mom an internet/email machine and I am planning on putting an old 28k modem in there! hehehehe 🙂

I had DSL for over a year. Ditched it 2 months ago for cable. From cable, so far, I'm getting faster downloads and much better customer service.

I never thought dsl would be cheaper in canada but I'm paying $40 us and they're only paying the equivalent of $24 us :Q🙂

shared Apartment T1 capped at 896k download and 896k upload full duplex. I can send 112kbytes/sec and download 112kbytes at the same time.

indeed, I cannot believe how expensive it is over in U.S. My uncle who lives in Chicago, he told me while ago...

ADSL from PacBell. $40 US, 1.5Mbps/128Kbps.

I'd check to see what kind service level is provided at the $40 Canadian/$24USD level before people start screaming which is cheaper. I can say at $40/mo USD it is a slight rip off nonetheless, but it FEELS too good, right? RIGHT? 🙂

Cable isn't available in my area, but comparing to cable when I did have it, DSL is actually winning in speed by a factor of 2 in most cases. Then again, I'm comparing 2 different time periods, and I had cable when they were heavily advertising it, killing off download speeds with the loads and warez kiddies.
