Poll: Do you use a magnifier mouse?

Ive been using a wireless mouse and keyboard from Microsoft for a couple of years now. Its the MS wkb 3000 model, the cheapest one they offer. It also happens to be the best one, with keys that have the softest edges that dont tear up my fingers and is not so "u" shaped that its not difficult to use.

This combo included a wireless mouse with a magnifier button. Ive grown so used to magnifier mice that to use one without a magnifier is as annoying when most mice didnt have center wheels.

Do you use a magnifier mouse? Here is mine in use.

Wow, you need to get out of the office and do some real work.

Ya big pansy 😛

the bluetooth mouse I use on my laptop has the option, but I never use it.

I'd probably use it occasionally if I could at work, though.

I had to pull some strings to get them to allow me to install it at work. Since moniters have grown so large, it helps to have a magnifier to read text or zoom in on other things like .pdf files, wk1 files, etc.

Its wonderful. Its difficult to get by without a magnifier now.

yeah. a few days a week, I get put on spreadsheet bitch duty and have to manually update some excel spreadsheets with tiny text and tons of data entry... it's annoying to change the font size/resize columns or manually change the view zoom for the entire sheet just to read the text in a single cell.

good to know  doesn't apply in all situations, though... sometimes I'm dealing with cells on opposite ends of the row and increasing the sheet zoom means having to scroll over to the required cell instead of having both visible simultaneously.

I have the magnafier function on my MS mouse but I actually use it for middle click. The wheel clicker is very hard to push down with one finger and if you get the angle wrong it does not actually click. Only thing I don't like about that mouse. It's probably defective as I really can't see it suppose to be that way.

Why not have two instances of the same file open? Open the first file, then go through the start menu and open excel again, drag the file from the folder into excel, it'll say it's already being used so you can only do read only, then open it. Now that you have two separate windows and instances of excel put them side by side and zoom in on each one. This would also help if you want to have two cells in opposite parts of the file being displayed simultaneously.
