Basically, do you medicate your mind? (Zoloft, Prozac, Xanax, "muscle relaxers", weed, coke, dope, etc)

Please vote "yes" if you have more than 7 drinks a week. Again, for the purposes of my poll, 7+ alcoholic drinks count as a Yes.

You do realize that nearly 99.9% of all americans take "psychotropic drugs" right?

NSAID's are considered a class of psychotropic drug.
Caffeine is the world's most widely consumed psychoactive substance.

I'd even guess that it would be nearly impossible to find someone on this board who hasn't taken an asprin, and hasn't drank a caffeinated drink (soda, tea, coffee, etc)

I sometimes have a single alcoholic beverage at night just to relax. I tend to be a high strung person and I have trouble relaxing sometimes.

Not sure if that counts by your definition.

Meh, I didn't read the alcohol part before voting. I have probably 30-40 drinks a week lately. Definitely an abuser, but also definitely in control. 10 drinks in a night is nada for me.

Don't you feel like you're wasting your time being drunk instead of doing something productive?

Most of the time I'm not smashed, 10 drinks in a night and I'm still quite functional. I have quite a bit of free time, so I don't feel like I'm wasting time going out 2-3 nights a week. I work another 3 nights a week, and take classes two days a week. I still lift 4-5 times a week which is really my only other constructive way to spend time at the moment.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to spend more time doing things that didn't involve drinking. I'm also fully capable of going to the bar, not having a sip, and still have a great time. I just hate sitting at home, and if I'm not currently dating anyone regularly I tend to head out more.

Since I work at a bar, I know a LOT of people that frequent there, and I also drink for ridiculously cheap. I'd rather go chat with people or dance than sit on my ass and watch tv.

I did a lot of fucking drugs when I was younger, its mostly just pot now though. I have been trying to get my hands on some DMT though

Have you ever thought that he is moar productive when drinking?

That's a tricky statement, because I am more socially productive while I'm drinking -- but not necessarily because I am drinking. I chat with customers and coworkers just much when I work sober compared to when I'm there drinking. I crave social interaction, and know that I bat 1.000 every time I step into one of two bars.

Sheesh, guyver sure is taking a long time with dennil.....

At least he's going out to bar and being social.

For me, I feel like when I stay home and drink I don't really do anything productive. Yeah, I do have decent time. However, when I'm sober I tend to work on hobbies, read books, etc. Those are things I can't do when I drink.

Yeah, If I'm drinking at home it's either to save a few bucks before going to the bar or just a few craft beers simply for the enjoyment and taste.
