If its stopped for more than an hour or so then yes.
If you leave your clothes wet for a few hours they start to get mildew and you need to wash them again.

its ruder for people to leave there stuff in the dryer without consideration of people behind them.

With only 2 washers and 2 dryers (there are only 20 apartments in my complex) if someone leaves their stuff in the washer or dryer for more than 15 minutes, I will put them on the folding table no matter what. I have better things to do than wait all day to get laundry done cuz someone wants to take off while they leave their stuff in the machines. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that the dryers run for 45 minutes and the washers 30.

Yeah, I always put their clothes in my basket and left it on top of the dryer for them. One time someone took my clothes out of the dryer while they were still wet and put their clothes in. That is perhaps the one thing that could drive me to murder.

you'd murder someone because you don't know how to use a dryer properly?

Not unless there's a wait and the person is gone and it's my turn for the machine.

Fortunately those days have past and it's a non-issue. I don't even take my clothes out of the dryer, although I should--the wife tends to get upset at me everyonceinawhile. D'oh!

Nope!

That why I rather uses the laundromat, beside that the heavy duty washer have 3 rinse cycles that get your cloth much cleaner than the appartment ones. Also, you don't know what the load befor you in a single cycle machines have been.

Yes. I'll also fold them if i take them out (unless it's an unreasonably huge load) so i don't consider it rude when i do it.
