Buy.com screwed me on a product, wanted me to wait 5 weeks for a refund, and I ended up filing against them with my CC company. They sorted everything, and I'll never again buy from buy.com 😉

Way back when, w/ their competitive prices + coupons I used to order from them weekly; now I find http://www.buy.com expensive 😕
why would you link their site?

Because if you're going to "complain" about a website, it's appropriate to provide a link IMO moshquerade, it's not like I have a referral link posted 🙂
if i complain about something i won't plug their site by making an easy click.

You've been around long enough to know that AT members like easy links moshquerade.
easy licks or easy links?

you tell me. 😀

There is nothing easy about licking 😛

Are we talking regular links, cheddar links, low fat links, or low sodium links?

buy.com's rebates are often impossible to redeem. The fact that something I'd consider is being offered at buy.com instead of any other retailer usually gives me one more reason to decide against making the purchace.

any link will do. 😀

they still send me the "customer appreciation coupons"...it occasionally works out to a great deal. new cds often work out to about $10.xx each with a $10 off $75 coupon, and I got my Promise SX4000 for $105 shipped when the best pricewatch/froogle could do was $133.

I've also found that you can "negotiate" with them. log into your account, add something to cart, figure out shipping, and then don't buy it. in a day or two they'll send you a coupon.

I have never purchased anything from them, but if they had the Dell 2005FPW for some uber hot deal, then yes.

I can't vote in your poll with the way your question is currently worded, because I have never purchased from buy.com (kind of like the logically fallacious "have you stopped kicking your dog?" question).

😉

they don't suck. If anything, buy.com is older than amazon, and has always been a reliable company. If i found an excellent deal from them, then i wouldn't hesitate to buy from them. Unfortunately, thats rarely the case anymore.

I'm eyeing that 19" LCD deal that was posted over on GD, but other than that I never check them.
