dude, get back in, it got better.

I still enjoyed it for the most part when I quit, but the cheating was HORRIBLE. Combine that with 100,000 whiners who cry cheat every time someone kills them and it got to be not worth the effort. I have never even had to suffer through anything to do with steam, which doesn't bother me either. All of my multiplayer time is taken up by the BF'42 and Vietnam lately.

Sounds like someones feelings are hurt. Don't worry, schooling more newbs always helps the pain.

Especially for a kid with L337 SKILLZ like you! F34R!!!

cheatings not so bad now with steam and punkbuster or whatever they use. server browser is also superior to nonsteam.
still love the voice comm capability, even though its misused half thetime. they add it in bf vietnam? i dunno i only really play desert combat. nothing bugs me like having to type something to the guy driving the vehicle.... by the time u type it, its too f*cking late, or they don't know whos talking to em.. not exactly obvious who's riding with u. ut2k4 sorta solves this with 3d voice sound...where u can set it so only people near u hear u talk..

just install csrealism.com patch and try it again, its a different style of play then the bf series.

Use to play CS...till 1.5 or so. Rotated between TFC <---I loved that game. Then on to DOD, was quite addicted to that too. All on 56k man! Still, it wasnt so bad, except CS. Much better games now though.

Yeah, I still play it. Of course, I still play Starcraft and Quake 3 (just some pitiful defragging in my spare time). For some reason, I can't bring myself to spend $30 - $40 on a game that I'll only play for a few months, so I don't. I expect a LOT out of my video games, but HL and SC have met those expectations for years, so I don't think they're too high.

BTW, why do you CS bashers bash CS, anyway? If you can get over the immaturity of half of the community, at its core is a very fun and well-balanced game.

*Shrug* I'm cynical tonight. You can't exuberantly post a mediocre CS score and NOT expect to take some sh!t.

I just posted a screenshot. Who says I was trying to brag about. Now if I went on and on in my post about how I was owning and sh!t then i'd understand..but everything you said was completely uncalled for.

I agree that his reaction was uncalled for, but I think you're wrong about posting the screenshot. All you had was a screenshot, a :), and a yes. That seems a lot like bragging to me. It says "Yes, I still play, and I'm pretty good. Look, here's the evidence." The :) even makes it seem smug.

If you weren't bragging, then you were certainly fishing for compliments. Otherwise, why even post the screenshot? What you failed to realize is that with the anonymous competition made possible by the internet, if you step up to tell us you're good, all we want to do is put you in your place. My personal opinion? Let your skills stand for themselves and only tell people about them when they ask. You'll get a lot more respect like that.
