Yes I do, and if I here one more teacher telling my son that a person who smokes is a bad person I am going to go postal. Propoganda in our schools is far more dangerous than lung cancer.

Yep I smoke, I quit for almost 4 months, then my damn smokestack roomates came back from summer break...being around 3 people who smoke over a pack a day really makes it hard to stay quit. I started up again, but I'm working on quitting again. I'm down to around 5 or less smokes a day. Emulex, Nicorette really helped me begin to quit last time I did, but I found I only really needed it for about the first week...after that I didn't have any problems...but then again, that may be one of the reasons I started again.

i used to smoke since 8th grade up til about my junior year in h.s... quit now...been clean... work'n out, running, play'n ball, hopefully it'll help with getting all that gunk out of my lungs....

I don't but smoking does not make you a "bad" person. I have alot of respect for some smokers(not because they smoke thouhg)
We all do things were not proud of just smokers are out in the open. Also a good cigar is nice once in a while but don't buy the bull cigars are good for you. Cigars are far worse than cancersticks.

I smoke lightly, like one or two a day. I always have go out and have a cig before I go to bed. I've gone for a while without smoking and didn't even think twice about it, so when I decide I want to quit I doubt it will be a problem.

i just thought that I'd note that these percentages (1/4th smokers) are about in line with the rest of society..well I'll speak for TX, as I know that they are having a debate in the state legislature about banning smoking in restauraunts..and the percentages are 25% of ppl are smokers, and 75% nonsmokers..so us geeks aren't any more healthy than the rest

Yeah that's pretty accurate, but the last figure I saw was 29%, making it almost 1/3. I'm sure there is an extra 4% that doesn't claim it as well, so it probably is 1/3.

Do I smoke? Yeah but more often when I drink than any other time.

Nope. Never has, and hopefully never will. My dad was a big smoker, he made sure we never got addicted to these stuff.

BTW, Yes, he did quit ~1 year ago.

I used to smoke cigarettes from about 15 - 22 Years of age. I quit on the fourth try, and now it is an almost complete turn-off in the opposite sex. I quit because I felt like a slave to them and because somebody else called me feeble for being a smoker. Now I know he was wrong.

I've always thought that cigar smoke is some of the most vile stuff known, especially in public places.:disgust:

i do and i dont, i'm in school right now and it helps with the stress but usually i dont, i havent smoked in like 3 months now
