[POLL] - Do you rent movies?

I haven't rented a movie for near to ten years. No I'm not joking. Hell I've only been to the movie theater about 5 times in the past 8+ years. The last movie I saw in a theater was Matrix 3, before that was Star Wars 2, before that was Hannibal 2 and before that was Godzilla (the 1998 one).

I just find it hard to suspend my judgement and get into movies. I get rather bored of them unless I'm drinking. I will watch movies that friends bring over when we get smashed. Then they are slightly more tolerable (like Travolta dying in the newer Punisher).

No. I just buy the movies I want, and if I'm not interested in seeing them again, I give them to someone else.

I haven't rented movies in years...

It is so much easier to just buy them off AT/FS... it is just about the same price as a rental and i own it.

🙂

Both. Netflix and Hollywood Video (Movie Value Pass). For $30 a month I get 3 movies out at a time at Hollywood Video and 3 out at a time from Netflix. Hollywood Video is nice when I get an urge to watch a movie and don't want to wait to get it from Netflix, or if I want to watch more than 3 movies in a weekend.

Block Buster, about once a week. But I travel so there's not much else to do in my hotel room. And there's no way I'm paying the $13 to rent one of the hotels movies.

BT is for noobs.

oh, i'm sorry...if i want to be 1337, i should go to blockbuster and spend sh!t loads of money i don't have on movies i probably won't even like

With DVDs being so cheap (only $20), I just buy them instead of renting. Looks and sounds great on my HT. This way, I can show the latest movies (and some good classics) when my friends and family come over.

No, there are other more effective ways of data xfer than BT.
It has nothing to do with being leet, and everything to do with you being a noob.

Yes, just for school break.
I've just started going to blockbuster again. $14.99 trial for the whole month.
I've rented 18 DVDs in the past week. I'll cancel after school starts again.

I don't rent a lot of movies, and I'll never buy one. When I do want to watch a movie, I'll pick one up at the local supermarket for $0.49 for 5 days. I don't see any reason to rent the same movie at Blockbuster for nearly $4 or to go buy it for $10-$20.
