he poll makes no sense.

It asks: Do you LOL?
.........Or do you fake?

So how are you supposed to know which question you are answering.

I thought it was clear enough from the thread title.

I'm just wondering if people really laugh when they type "LOL"

NaughtyusMaximus,

De nada.

Or did you mean to speak in Italian? Or Latin?

Lo siento. I'm only fluent in Spanish.

P.S. LOL (without laughing) :D

I don't think your supposed to take it literally. I don't use it much but when I see it I realize that the person found something amusing. No big deal. Its used to get your point across as there is no way to tell what the other person makes of statements you or other people make. It does not bother me at all and I cannot see why it would bother anybody. Its age old internet lingo,if internet lingo can be age old. Maybe its just years old, whatever,i'm rambling.

And to answer the question, yes sometimes I actually do laugh out loud.

veryape,

I never said that it bothered me. I was just wondering about everybody else on this forum. :)

Sometimes when I'm speaking with someone else, instead of laughing I'll just say "L-O-L".

(no, not really)

I rarely laugh for real when I type LOL, on the odd occasion I might. If I'm laughing for real I usually the LMAO, or if something is extremely funny and I'm laughing hard I'll type ROFLMAO.

I once actually said LOL instead of laghing in a regular offline conversation though.
