bah, only if the thread is AMAZINGLY interesting, like the Girl........so.........hot thread that Kev1n started. he's just a hilarious guy and all I did was skim through the pages looking for his posts. :)

anyway, I bet this thread will get to the point people will stop reading through it. ;)

My rule is: If someone took the time to think it out and type it, the least I can do is read it in its entirety.
Of course, if after the first few sentences I see that over 90% of the message is filler designed to make the poster seem smarter than he really is, my respect for that poster drops and I skim his post quickly.

<< I either read the first sentence only, or skip it entirely. Keep it simple, stupid. >>

If it's a joke or a serious scientific theory, I'll read it.

The only posts I don't read are the ones that start, I didn't read what anybody else wrote, but my opinion is....................

If I have any intention of posting in a thread, I will read every post. Otherwise it depends on the topic.

The poll needs more choices.

You need a choice that says, "I read it all if the first few sentences are coherent, and the subject matter interests me."

All depends on the content of the post and the person posting it. There are some truly literate people who have a way with words on these boards and I look forward to reading those peoples posts. There are also people whos posts I will not even venture to open becuase even with the most important topics they still manage to post garbage. You know who you are, good and bad.
