1 x 720P LCD (26 or 27 inch, I forget)
1 x 480i RPTV (61 inch)
1 x 1920x1200 LCD (24inch computer monitor, listed it as it's higher resolution than 1080p)

Just bought a Vizio 42" LCD from Costco...then everything else started domino'ing...

LG HTIB
Xbox360
2 leather recliners
HD/DVR cable box upgrade with the HD channels...seeing Planet Earth in HD is amazing.

I think me and my wallet are pretty much done for now...

Nope, no HDTV for me. My standard set is doing fine and, having just bought furniture after moving in to my place last fall, I see no need to drop money in to a TV at this time.

I haven't had cable since 1998. I just use OTA, though to be frank 99% of my viewing on my two tvs in my house are just for watching movies or TV show boxsets.

42" Phillips 1080p Ambilight II. I've been holding off on getting a new 50" because I really, really love the ambilighting on this Phillips (why I bought it), and they don't make it anymore. :( I think I'll just wait until the LED backlit 55"ers come down in price.

Whenever I see those huge honkin TVs I think "Wow, that guy's got zits the size of pie plates and they look so crisp, sharp."

I don't think you can still buy a TV that isn't HD. Those of you still hanging on to your old non-HD sets...more power to you. I am a big sports fan, and unless I am with other people, I can't watch non-HD sports. If you're with some of your friends, then is becomes more about hanging out and having a good time while enjoying the game...so HD isn't that big of a deal. If I am watching a game because I really want to watch THAT game, it will be in HD.

I don't even have an antenna (nor cable/satellite) - but movies, hulu, 360 - great on a big screen.

Yes. HDTV is like digital video recorders. Until you live with one you don't fully appreciate how life-changing it is. I would rather give both of my kids away to an adoption agency than lose either my hdtv or dvr at this point. Sorry, kids, I love you, but let's get real.

You can get a 42" lcd for well under a thousand bucks now. My cable provider includes HD in their basic package, too, so i don't pay that much for cable service.

no, sony 32" trinitron pre-hd tv (it has the component connectors, but they are not the standard HD ones), which weights about 185 pounds, and a 27" Orion tv for the bedroom.
