Try calling microsoft product technical support. When my Explorer started to die (the earlier models had bad wiering or something), I called them up and they sent me a new one free, with free shipping.

I'm curious about sending mine back too. Mine is an early one that I got when they first came out, and while I love the thing, the buttons have gotten quite unresponsive and mushy. I don't have the box or receipt anymore so I'm probably out of luck?
