i got one about a year ago and only used it oh three times. two times to make some t-bone's (cooked em to fast and they were cooked all the way through! in less then 3 min! damn) other time to make a few hamburgers and they turned out great.

I prefer my weber myself. but in a pinch the GF will do.

<< America Online and the George Foreman grill should get together and form a company that would become a monopoly for
dumba$$ consumers

AMEN brother..... if you need a special "gadget" to cook a grilled cheese.... you have problems..........

You guys are idiots. You've obviously never used one. You can throw on your chicken/steak/pork chops/lamb chops/etc with your vegetables onto this grill and have a complete meal in 10 minutes. The fact that it cooks from both sides at once means you don't have to flip anything....just put it on and let it go.

No, but it seems everyone else does! I see tons of 'em (I do deliveries) and they're second only to the Audiban (sp) clock....and the Radar Frog...

Hell, if I had a back yard, I would have a tent up and a pit to cook in and live out there on a regular basis. :) The grill is handy. The first things I cooked on it were two buffalo steaks. They were too thick to fit on the grill, so I had to cook them one by one and turn them. I didn't want to throw them in the oven or on the stove or anything. Reminded me that we've got to get the propane tank filled. The thing is handy, but I think I'll take mine apart and mod it so that the top not only pivots on rear hinges, but those hinges will be on conceiled extensions. Kinda like my scanner is so I can put thick books on it and still have the top laying flat.

Too bad I don't live out in the country. A cooking pit would be coooooool :D

i have one and my parents have one too.
i also got my bf's sister to get one!

i used to really be into the grill but i got tired of cleaning it. i will have to try that water trick! i wish u could take off the grill part and wash it in the sink. my life would be so much easier!!

Got one...love it...can't beat cookin a burger in like 2 minutes at 2:30 am. A little of a hassle to start the bbq up this late.

Very difficult to call us idiots considering we are both professional chefs, I have used one and almost every
other piece of home and professional cooking equipment out there. If you know how to cook you can get the same lean
burger on a five dollar bbq pit and it will taste much better. The george foreman grill is crap to anyone who knows how to
cook, saying that its great to cook on is like saying cooking food in a microwave is better than items cooked in a conventional oven.
Sure its quicker but the quality is horrible, thus a crappy product imo.
