i smoked a lot my first year college, then i noticed how all my drug buddies started acting like drugs were a religion...i've been clean off illegal substances since.

had one experience
instead of smoking it, i ate in in brownie form
it was a going away present from a coworker (i had just quit my job)
couldn't feel my hands, couldn't feel my legs
took 24hrs for the effects to wear off

I find it disconcerting that people need a controlled substance to feel pleasure or just good. I've got endorphins for that. Oh, endorphins as well as adrenaline give you a great rush btw, equal to morphine. Runners high? That's a motherload of endorphins gettin' loose.

Also, there was a study done that said that a good night at a casino (meaning, winning!) results in the same thing as being drunk- lol. The same brain centers were very active for both.

In moderation marijuana can be a great thing. When abused though, it can become a problem.

never smoked it. Mostl likely never will. But I dont' really have a problem with other people doing it. I have a couple of friends who do, and it is a no pressure situation from both sides.

Yeah, I've done it. I don't do it regularly though.... probably around 6 or 7 times in the last 5 months.

Tried it once in the jungles of Thailand. Figured if I was ever going to try it, that was about the safest place to be. I had fun. But it's not something that I need. I have enough fun w/ life itself. But I did want to test it out just once to see what the bruhaha was all about. *shrugs* Not that big of a deal.

Some Europeans offered me some opium. I asked what it did. They told me that it relaxes you. Hmm. Here I am in the mountain jungles of northern Thailand. It's beautiful and serene. And these guys are trying to relax. I told them, no thanks. If I were anymore relaxed, I would've fell out of my pants. Sad testament to the human bean right there.
