I know that hardware boards are writen by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. I know enthusiast view their PCs like hotrod cars and want to push em to the limits.

But how many of you are satisfies with higher end systems at stock speeds? after reading numerous Hardware forums and reviews for the last 2 years. Im curious if I am the only one who refuses to OC untill I realy need it for a particular peice of software. and even then maybe

'only if needed' with a DDR board, probably means never, but you wouldnt rule it out. I couldnt find a good way to word it, though

That's not overclock, that's the "right" way to setup
your computer. if you don't want to do it "right",
than you can always get an eMachine... 😛

I run my AXIA 'Y' 1Ghz @ 1.53Ghz on a KG7 DDR Board. Never locks, solid as a rock on 2k. It's all in the sig.

That gives me todays performance with a 'Yesterday' chip. And a 'kin big Grin!!

53% O/C, that has to be worth it...

My XP 1800+ 1533 is running @ 1537Mhz due to an imperfect 133Mhz FSB 😀

But no, I don't bother overclocking my newest system.

As DivideByZero said...Today's performance with yesterday's chips. Isn't that why all of us O/C, as least partially? I O/C to get big performance for little price, but even if I had the latest and greatest parts available to me FREE, I would still o/c the hell out of everything. 😀 It started out as a money saver, but it's become a hobby/addiction.

I have my DDR board overclocked. I tried really hard to run it stock the other night. I backed everything off and went to go watch a movie with the wife. Got about 15 minutes in and told her to pause the movie for a minute. Went in and bump my baby back up to where she likes it. Man I have the shakes and eveything!
