With the rash of people in the state that are either losing there jobs or finding new ones I wanted to know.

Someone onece told me that going to work shouldn't be like rowing on a slave ship.

and I've lived by that philopshey.

I love my job.. work in the fund business.. 7:30 - around 5:30 each day... sometimes till 12 AM, 3-4AM depends on emergency... i also go in on weekends too.. both day.. i got no life.. i'm a "L"OOOOOOOOOSER

get paid really well.. dispite the bad economy we're in...

Funny. I had a job that I loved to go to... and then they went bankrupt and laid everyone off

I had a great job before. Played counter-strike everyday, hours on end. Got paid too. Supposed to do tech support, but nobody calls when I'm on duty. (they know better.)

Now unemployed.

it's pretty good. I do some easy stuff, with a lot of time for surfing, while getting paid good money. I don't like waking up so early though, and most of the people are jackasses.

my job is okay... I'm the computer administrator for a small MEP consulting engineering firm. I'm gettin kind of sick of it. I've never worked this straight for this long, over a year now. Thats why i'm goin back to grad school in the fall FULL TIME!! In fact, i'm quiting early to do some traveling this summer. I can't wait!:D

I worked Grave Shift Tech support. and about half of the staff would come in after 10:00 at night and play quake 3 arena for hours. it was so much fun

I hate my job... it's retail sales at a Gateway Country store.

With the constant mood of "when are they gonna shut us down", and the fact that working at Gateway just sucks, I was hoping they'd close our store during the closings last month. They didn't.

So I quit this morning

I know what you mean I have a friend of mine that Works at the GCS in Jackson Mississippi and She's really annoyed all of the time about the general mentallity is "They are going to shut us down."

Well I:
- Like what I do (software support, aka, write patches)
- Like who I work with
- Like my boss
- HATE the product I work on

So I guess 3 out of 4 isn't too bad.

Yeah, that seems to be the mentality of the entire region. You'd have to be working for the stores to understand the general mood. It's like a person on death row, and the managers aren't helping at all

I love my job. Flexible schedule(go whenever i wake up, leave whenever i want to) and cool boss.




p/s: My boss plays Red Alert sometimes in the office while i play counter-strike on his PIII 900mhz laptop. :D (my workstation is crappy and slow)

i love my job...its the best job i've had thus far...

i'm in the IT Security industry as a consultant...i get to travel all over the place...it has taken me pretty much all over the US as well as to London..and soon possibly Athens...

i get to break into networks and get paid for it...if anything goes down, i got my "get out of jail (trouble) free card" handy...hehe

as a consultant all living expenses are paid while i'm not in the town of my homebase (Dallas, TX)...at the moment i'm working for the SLOC keeping the hackers out of the olympic network :D...even got to see some of the practice runs for the ski jump as well as the preliminaries for the speed skating...

so...i have nothin to complain about in regards to my job...LOOOOVE IT!! :D

My job's pretty cool.. doing graveyard network tech support for a hardware vendor. Some nights are like tonight where I hang out on ATOT, and others can get quite hectic! I like what I do and I like everyone I work with, but I have to admit that the economic situation is a bit of a downer...

But now you can't get the unemployment compensation that get's taken out of every paycheck :Q
