I love our car. We've had it for 3 years now.

1988 Trans Am - love it, will probably keep it till the wheels fall off. Been very reliable for the last 6 years, but is probably coming due for some new parts. It's easy to work on, parts are common and very cheap compared to other cars, good aftermarket, etc.
1992 Mustang - blah. Reliable beater with 30+MPG, good for winter - hate driving it though.

I get alot of flac from my brother cause its not japanese
However the ride is so smoth and the car is big enough for me to move my stuff back and forth from college.
Great long distance car. Slow not so great on gas. Also its slowed my driving down alot cause its got such a soft suspension.
I have to remove the battery to clean off corrosion. And that freaking involves removing the tire and air intake something I'm not looking forward too. Maintance is a bitch.

Pout a mixture of baking soda and water all over your battery, and then hose it off. The baking soda will neutralize the acid and break up the corrosion. If it's really bad you might need to do it twice and possibly use a toothbrush.

Thing is, the baking soda will do the work for you. It will break up most of it without a wire brush. I still don't know whay you would need to take the battery out of the car to do it...
You should use the baking soda at the very least because it will neutralize any acid that is there, otherwise it will remain active and could get on your hands or the car...
Nice. My GF has a 2-door 01 2.5RS. She loves it. I love my 03 WRX.Originally posted by: AmdEmAll
