If 33% of the population would move out of state, California would be a much better place than it is today. When the Technology boom hit the Bay Area, tens of thousands of out of state and foreign workers moved there causing housing shortages which resulted in sky high housing costs, freeways becoming extremely congested due to overcrowding resulting in the quality of life declining dramatically. It seems that economic success has its negative aspects and the Bay Area is a prime example of those negative aspects. What was once a great place to live is now a mass of humanity stepping all over each other to get where they are going.Originally posted by: yakko
As of now the poll indicates that 33% of Californians don't like it there.

In SoCal it starting becoming over populated in the mid 60's (the reason my family moved to the Bay Area). It didn't start happening to the Bay Area until the Mid 80's and it really got out of control in the 90'sOriginally posted by: Amused

Hell, overpopulation of the state started in the 60s, and just got worse from there. I say take it back to pre 1965 population, and I'd be happy to move back to my home town. 🙂

Can't get fresh blue crabs in California. Everything you described can also be transferred to Maryland, except for sports teams (we do have 2 NFL teams, in Landover and Baltimore, though).
Okay, after reading a few posts...you do have weather on us, i suppose...But I'll take the largest estuary in the world over your bay...
