Personally, I can't stand the place but my Dad could chill there for hours! It's not as bad as a Bed,Bath & Beyond or anything, but it still sucks IMO.

Home Depot's pretty cool although I'm not passionately in love with it. It IS nice to have it there when I need something....

I read an article a few months ago where Lowe's is really catching up to Home Depot and soon will take over as the #1 Home Improvement store.

Lowes is cleaner, more organized, and spaced out better. Also, Lowe's employees get 10% off while Home Depot throws a gift card at you for x-mas time with no employee discounts.

I go to Home Depot cause it's closer, only about 5 minutes from my house. I find Lowes and Home Depot to be pretty equivalent, unless I was shopping for appliances, Lowes has a much better selection of appliances than Home Depot does, I think it was even better than my local Sears and Best Buy.

I hate home cheapot! All of their slow moving merchandises are always cover with an inch of dust. I know it's a warehouse and lal, but with all the orange apron people walking around, you would think they should keep the place clean.

What sucks about it? I generally like em, but have some issues...

The biggest one is probably the quality of their lumber ... their dimensioned lumber is often complete crap, and green as hell so it twists & warps like crazy if you don't get it in right away.

What I really like about HD is that I don't have to screw around price-shopping. If I can find it @ HD, they almost certainly have the best price in town any day of the week. No shopping around, waiting for "sales", etc.

Now that they've opened up a Lowes in town, I tend to prefer them more. The lumber is certainly better.

I find it easier to navigate HD. Lowes does not carry some of the stuff I need tool wise and for my lawn. Also, HD prices are a little cheaper. And your NASCAR champion is sponsored by none other then HD.

I like Menards the best out of all of them. Then again I get a discount there.:)

I don't get a discount but still love it MUCH better than HD.

Never been to a Lowe's but the Menards here has a bettr environment. Home Depot seems just too disorganized after visiting Menards, probably because of the bad lighting and tall aisles. But then again, its been quite a while since Ive visited an HD
