I'm just starting to get into classical music. Bach, Mozart, that stuff. 17 years old. :)

Of course I haven't abandoned my other music, but I'm curious as to how many of you enjoy listening to classical.

Hell yes. Most people that say they don't like it never really gave it a chance. Luckily, my parents had classical stuff playing alot when I was a little kid, so I gained an appreciation for "REAL" (;)) music at a young age. I like heavy stuff too. :D

Yeah, I know! Some of the best classical music is probably some of the best music ever written.

I love classical music!

Live performances in particular.

I know two Chinese identical twin girls who play piano duets, and favor Bach. They invited me to a private recital for next week. Ought to be fun :D.

I have found that a live performance actually takes away from the music, for me at least. It's hard to concentrate on the music while you are watching the orchestra. Maybe I'm just crazy.

Yes, when I'm in the mood for it. Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture is my favorite (but ONLY the version performed by the London Philharmonic with the Band of the Coldstream Guards)

I listen to 75% classical music, about 20% Delerium'esque music, and 5% other nonsense (mostly Evanescence right now).

Beethovens Pathetique, best piano piece EVAR.

That's one of the first Beethoven piano sonatas I learned to play; the adagio is my favorite. If you liked his #8 you'll probably like all 32, but #23 (Appassionata) will mostly suit your palate.

Wow, that is good.

Beethoven is gonna sue your @ss.

:D Well, if it helps at all, I'm probably gonna go buy a CD of his now.

By "his" I assume you mean Alfred Brendel, right? ;)

Hehe, yeah if he's the one who produces Beethoven stuff for CD.

I quickly realized after posting that my post implied Beethoven came out with albums.:)

Sir Peter Maxwell Davies "An Orkney Wedding with Sunrise", the best use of bagpipes ever or

Samuel Barbers Violin Concerto
