Poll: Do you leave messages on answering machines or voice mail?

I almost never leave a message. I'm not sure why but there's just something about it that I don't like. Maybe it's that I don't like the way my voice sounds in playback. Who knows? How about you guys?

I normally don't either. The only time I'll leave a message is if it's incredibly important for me to get a hold of someone. Otherwise, I'll just try another time.

I usually do... why wouldn't you?

Girls tell me I have a nice/sexy voice though, so i am probably a little more confident with the whole thing

"Of course. Why would I call someone and not atleast let them know I called??"

Guess this topic just proves my theory that everybody uses AIM, ICQ and cell phones for nothing other than chit-chat. I don't use the damn phone unless there's a reason. If I get a machine, I leave a message and expect a reply. I use a machine and caller ID to screen calls and always return messages too. Most people have about 1 chance in 4 of getting me to pick up the phone. If they don't leave a message... F 'em!

i'll leave a message if i called for a reason...like to make plans to hang out or something.
but i won't if i just called because i was bored....which is often...

I do phone mail for business purposes or if it is important otherwise I will wait until I talk to the person in real time.
