Yeah, I know, but I don't listen to radio at home. Isn't Sirius commercial free, but XM isn't?

So its kinda like those digital audio stations u get with satelltite tv or digital cable?? Why not just use audio CDs or MP3s instead?

Yeah, kinda like those digital audio stations. You get a better selection from radio than you would from CDs (unless you've got a ton of money), and you'll only get as good of a selection with MP3s if you don't have certain moral scruples.

I have XM and it freaking rocks.

The "XM has commericals, it sux" concept is a joke. I have had it since last Saturday and have heard a whopping 3 commercials after about 25 hours of listening. The commercials are really short, and only a few stations have them. This obviously excludes shows that have their own commericals like Mike Regan, CNN, Fox, etc.

I love channel 150, the only thing I listen to now. XM Comedy. Uncut bits from comedians stand up acts. Holy crap, that's how I'm going to die. I've been doubled over laughing and unable to see the road on more than a few occasions. Too damn funny. Rodney Carrington is the master of comedy.

Well worth the $10 a month to me.

no, not unless they had 1 channel of 24x7 death metal, 1 channel of 24x7 black metal, 1 channel of 24x7 power metal, 1 channel of 24x7 doom metal, 1 channel of 24x7 thrash metal and 1 channel 24x7 of stoner rock. The so called "metal" channels on the radio play nu-crap which has overly simplified guitar and crappy vocals. and does not resemble metal in any way, shape, or form.

i don't have it but it seems kinda cool. i would like to be able to listen to something other than my cd's over and over again, but most FM radio stations in this part of the country suck. i might take a look at it once i get out of school and actually start driving my car regularly and have a steady income.
