Myself, I am still waiting for notebook that is based on Athlon 4 and a decent graphic chip built in. A 3D capable. Oh and with 128MB of system RAM. DDR would be nice.

I answered yes, but I don't need it for work or school. I need it to tote off to all the damn fantasy sports drafts that I have to attend. I used to lug my main system to the baseball drafts (I am in charge of stats so I have software to track the draft that feeds into the stats system), but I bought a laptop last fall to take to the football and hockey drafts. I also took it when I went on a cruise this past winter so I could offload the pictures from my digital camera when the CF card got full.

Yep, got a refurb Dell Latitude CX. P3-550 (no SpeedStep so it gets HOT) with 256MB RAM, 10.2 GB HD, 13.3" TFT 24X external CDROM. It's got the cheap video but it still plays BG2 with no probs. But I use it primarily for a portable "database/web server/development environment" to test on for work. Girlfriend uses it for school occasionally. She takes it to the library and does work there instead of having to check the books out and do it at home.

Yup, just got my Toshiba Sattellite 2805-S2402, it totally rocks, GF2Go, DVD/CDRW, 15" screen, Firewire, etc. Havent had the time to get Win2k installed on it, WinME is really starting to annoy me. Hehe it's twice as powerful as my desktop.

I used to have one, but I traded it for a much less valuable part to a man (from AT) who said that his wife needed it because she was going back to school. Thought I would be a nice guy.

What did he do? He fixed up a few things and sold it for almost three times the value of the part that I traded it for. Bastard! I had other people who wanted that for work and school. :|

Yes, heavy old P150 multimedia laptop, I use as typing machine...but the mighty 1.5GB Harddisk :Q hosts Win95c and Linux 😀
And it runs Duke Nukem 3D just fine with its default 800x600...lol

yup... as we speak I am laying in bed typing on my Sony Vaio super slim celery 300... I have a Toshiba Tecra p120 laying around here, and another Toshiba 286 laptop with a 20 meg hdd sitting in the closet 😉 boy are those laptops big ol honkin things 😉
