Yes. I couldn't stand dial-up after having the dorm connection. I've been more than happy to pay for DSL (2 years) and now cable.

I have insight bb cable. Thinking about cancelling it though since I can't really afford it.

Of course, for now I will keep it and see where I will be post graduation.

I've got Verizon DSL, but the leasing agency that owns my apartment building pays for it. Even if it got canceled though, I wouldn't care. Have 99% WiFi coverage in pretty much every building at school.

I hear that brutha. Mine is advertised at 1M/128 but I can't get above 800 on any test. I lived here for three months after having cable at the old place--DSL wasn't available then. No way I was going to go back to dial-up.

Satellite is the only highspeed option where I live, and it costs too much and sucks, so I'm on dial-up.

I have had it for almost four years. Started out as $29.99 a month for 3mb down and 2mb up. then after a year of so, it went to $60.00 a month for 1.5 down and 128k up.

Last year they went back to 3mb down and 1.5 up, so I am happy. I am willing to pay up to $100.00 per month for 3-5mb down and 2-3mb up. But I suppose it is all about what one can afford and priority.

:)
