Why get a life when death is inevitable?

That's deep.

It's actually true. We're all going to die someday. The question is where will we go after death.

I know where I'm going when I die. I will be burned and my ashes will be scattered by the four winds. My life essence will disperse and intermingle with all things on this planet. The wispering wind will be my voice. I will be in every dewdrop. In the glint of every petal you will find me. I will be in the birds that circle the mountain crags, ringed with the azure world, and in the ghost lights of the anglerfish that dwell in the black abyss.

In time the sun will swell and swallow this planet. My atoms and molecules will join with the sun, and my physical substance will be converted to pure energy. In the aeons that will come, as the sun falls into its death throws, and goes supernova at last, my radiance shall be cast to the far reaches of the universe, forever to echo in the black vaults of the timeless night.

i'm assuming that's a "no". you dont have a life. 🙂

Did you write that yourself? That is a scientific poem. However, nobody knows what happens after death nor can provide proof of their theories regarding it. Death is an uncertainty much like life.

I'm 27 - the club scene is done. Last time I went with my wife and her friends.. guys were going up to them and they were 22-24... peace.

Social life is really the circle of friends... no clubs, no bars... no thanks, never liked it anyway.

i feel that most people can't tell the difference between friends and aquaintances...
a friend would be someone who would lay their life down for you. So realistically i got to say i have 3 friends and too many aquaintances i never hang out with

Not really. I'd like to, but I'm not a big fan of bars or clubs.

Nate

not a fan of girls either i presume? my right hand just isnt enough for me anymore. 🙂 hehe

You said that, not me. I just don't care to drink much, and being hearing impaired makes both situations a huge pain in the ass. Even if I did meet someone, I wouldn't be able to hear a word they said 🙂 .

Nate

Monday: I lift weights, Brazilian Jujitsu and Mui Thai for 3 hours total.
Tuesday: same as above
Wednesday: Hip-hop class for 1 hour
Thursday: Swing dance for 4 hours
Friday: Swing dance for 4 hours
Saturday: Gym for 2 hours in the morning. I hit the club for 4 hours at night
Sunday: nothing

I also have a full-time job and work part-time as a National Guardman

Being single rocks!!!

Lloyd Dobler: I got a question. If you guys know so much about women, how come you're here at like the Gas 'n' Sip on a Saturday night completely alone drinking beers with no women anywhere?

Joe: By choice, man!

I don't make any attempts to get to know people and warm up to them as I'm naturally quiet person. I appear to be a dick and stuck up. So "no" would be the answer. I prefer to spend time alone. Yes, I will die a lonely old man. So be it. Tried the friend thing and it's proven more trouble than it's worth. When people give up on you and your baggage (and I mutually gave up as well - too much BS) then there's not much else to say.

Some things are left best as is, the more you try to explain it away the worse it sounds.

I used to be much more outgoing in the early days. Now the responsibilities of being a grown up has somewhat taken a toll on me.

of course.

I've had the same group of friends for the past 10 years, along with my roommate and friends from college. I'm rarely home on a weekend night unless I'm working.

except tomorrow. I'm blowing all my friends off tomorrow to play World of Warcraft 😛 I know it makes me a total geek, but I haven't played all week and they're going to see a movie that I really don't want to see.

same here, except i'm not "grown up" yet

I hang out at food joints, karaokes and net cafes every now and then, but clubbing is not my thing. inviting friends over to chill is something i do every weekend but i wouldnt call that a party per se...
