Poll: Do you have a Palm or a Pocket PC???

I have a Handspring Visor Deluxe.

Right now I think the colour Palms and Visors are overpriced - but it's OK if you have the dough. I've checked out my friend's iPaq and it's a nice machine, but just not worth the money for the average user IMHO. Ironically, I do more with my monochrome Visor than he does with with iPaq. It's strange that he bought the iPaq, because in his field software for the PocketPC is virtually nonexistent. So we just bug him about his poor choice. However, if you're an NFS4 type, then a PocketPC may suit you. Tell us what you need it to do.

I spent the last month deciding between the iPAQ and the Handspring Visor.

I finally decided that the extra gadgetry of the iPAQ is overkill, and I have no need for that in a PDA. Visor for me.

i was debating on the palm IIIc, i think thats the color one, and the visor color. does 8 bit and 16 bit color really make a difference on these things????

Basically just a replacement for my Daytimer appointment scheduler. Also to track expenses & to keep records of water parameters for some of my aquariums. I don't need anything fancy (ie. color or internet). at the moment. I'm leaning twords a Palm or Handspring.

Yes, if you believe some of the rumors swirling around.

Codenamed Palm m505, this new color model is believed to weigh in at around 4 ounces and offer expansion capabilities (much like the Handspring) through a postage-sized slot.

What's more, performance should be increased by 30% over the existing Palm Vx. Plus, it will use lithium-polymer batteries... and be only 1mm thicker than the Palm Vx.

Industry experts expect this new design to be one of the first Palms to use the 33MHz Motorola DragonBall VZ chip. Speculation is betting that the color Palm m505 will ship with 8MB of RAM and 4MB of ROM.

Is the Palm m505 a reality?

How much will it cost if it does ship?

These are all questions that remain to be answered. However, handheld experts believe the model will be introduced at Germany's CeBIT trade show in March.
