Poll: Do you have a floppy installed in your computer (main rig)

Yes. I still like having a floppy for flashing BIOS's and firmware.
I know that many manufactures have windows flashes now, but I still like booting into PCDOS for flashing.

 

You would be a fool to not have one while in school. I mainly use a usb storage device but you would be surprised at how handy a floppy can be in a jam.

Sure do. It's been in this case for years. Great for flashing BIOS and moving small files.

I just log into my free space at Brinkster.com from school to download and/or save files. I don't have a floppy drive on my main system, but I do have floppy drives on my other two rigs.

Yeah, its in there but I don't think its hooked up anymore. I haven't used it in years. And I don't want to go find a floppy in the closet just to test if it still works.

So walk to the computer store and get one.

I put one in my new system and I had to use it to load my SATA drivers for XP. It comes in handy and is super cheap.
