No, I fly my patriotism by voting, obeying the laws and paying taxes. Anything else is just public posturing.
Oh yeah, and by holding my elected representatives to their WORD!

Hell yes. However, I also fly the American flag in front of my house on appropriate occasions.

The home owners association in the neighborhood i live in has passed a bylaw that states you can't hang a flag outside of your house unless it is the USA flag. It has to be supported by an unpainted aluminum pole as well.

That is retarded. I hate HOA's. My dad has a flag pole up back home in MN but we do not have a flag up here.

It is my opinion that non-condo HOA's will eventually kill themselves. Their ever-restrictive CC&R's designed to improve home values are steadily making a place where almost no one wants to live. Many are started to make it against the rules to wash your car in your driveway, or to have your garage door open for more than 5 minutes, and to even do your own yardwork. When someone plunks down large for a home, they want a home... not an expensive apartment or condo. But then again, even an apartment complex will let a tenant fly an American flag from their balcony.
Sell now... before it's too late.

I wholeheartedly agree. Those jack-offs in their SUVs with the ripped and torn American flag cruising down the freeway :| :| :|

I agree with ya. Luckily i didn't buy the house, i'm only staying there and paying uber cheap rent. I would never buy in a neighborhood with those type of restrictions although it is REALLY hard to find a community here in the Phoenix area that doesn't have the same type of rules.

Power hungry retirees and people that can't mind their own damn business. :|

No. I vote, I pay taxes, I read a newspaper and other journals on a weekly basis, and I stay informed about my elected officials.

I also plan to join the Air Force or Navy at a future date, go through law school and maybe serve for a while as a lawyer there.
