heh im the same way i looked all around for cloth seats.

All the cars i wanted (taurus SHO) had leather seats. finally just got a taurus ses. not to mention i heard the sho had lots of problems.

anyway i would NOT get a leather couch. heck my wife got me a nice leather office chair and i hate it. though i had to tell her i loved it. :disgust:

nice leather couches are the shiznit....my friend has one that makes me fall asleep just about every time I sit in it...so in the "I need crappy furniture to stay awake during a movie" aspect, they do suck. But besides that...

you need a soft leather couch...unlike my hard leather couch which i don't like.

I have to agree. The best couch I ever owned was leather; my friends and I called it the coma couch.

If you treat yours properly they're great. I have a pure aniline leather sofa. I use leather cream on it every few months. Supple as hell.

If you dont have cats leather is the way to go ( IF you find a comfortable set AND take care of it ) it will out last fabric 5-1 on average and is easier to clean the only reason I dont have all leather is the cost and I have 2 cats who would shred it

oh well some day.

btw I used to sell furniture and want leather so I kinda know what Im saying. but dont take my word for it go sit on leather BUT sit there for at least a minute cause it takes at least 30 seconds for it to reach body temp

I hate leather furniture and car seats. Like everyone else already mentioned the god awful smell and sticking to it when it is hot out.

I have leather in my car as well and will always choose a GOOD leather upholstry in a car over cloth any day.

Leather is nice. Its pretty comfortable and if you take good care of it, it will last a while. My parents still have the same brown couch and two chairs ever since I was alive 20+ years. The couch is a little beat up but the chairs are fine.
