POLL: Do you die a little inside when people pronounce niche as "nitch"?

*begins twitching*

I have an awful aversion to mispronounced words. I feel dirty and ignorant when I learn I've been unknowingly mispronouncing a word. I get into arguments with people over things like this. I have finally been able to limiting myself to mentally correcting people instead of always verbally correcting people. I tolerate this in people close to me unless it's truly a completely wrong pronunciation. What they don't understand is that a part of me just doesn't want them embarrassing themselves.

People who use that other pronounciation sound like pompus brittish people... the kind who pronounce aluminum, al-you-min-yum.
