POLL: Do you cover your food when microwaving? If so, what do you use?

it really depends on what I'm heating. if its something that was crunchy/crispy/not soft, then I don't cover it. keeps it from getting soggy, to a degree. otherwise, no cover, unless its something that will dry.

Yes, I use that foodwrap generic plastic wrap you get from Costco, made by Borden.

I've thought this as well.

I avoid microwaving anything plastic wenever possible.

Paper plates should be better since you eat off them, no? Plus, they never touch the food..

i used to use a paper towel also. but then my aunt (who is a chemist) visiting my house said that paper is not a good idea cuz it has chemicals in it that can leak into your food when its heated. i doubt its gonna do anything to u, but still, i stopped. now i use this special plastic lid thing that fits on top of my plates.

I use whatever was covering it in the refrigerator. Usually that is saran wrap (or a cheap knockoff). But also the plastic lid of the food container. I'd never want the paper fuzz getting in my food so I never considered paper towels.
