Um,what's VHS ? Is that those big, square looking black boxes with the ribbon stuff inside. Those things scare me. The only thing worse than how one of those outdated things looks is how it sounds-YUK!!!! I'll just stick to my Toshiba S-1200 and Sony Wega.

Don't ever rent VHS. My family doesn't own a DVD, but I got one on my computer and so just always watch DVD's on it. They are much better. I just need to get a better collection of DVD's that I own. I only own The Matrix.

Lester: You have a link about DVD players for DivX?

Pretty much in the same boat as Rossman. Own 2 DVD Players. Own ~50 DVD movies. One Tivo. Two VCRs(used to dub tapes)

DVD Collection slowing down, now that I mainly rent from netflix. It gets here pretty fast. Usally next day. Back in the good old days of fast delivery and everything was in stock, I rented 30 movies in 1 month. Along the way, I upgraded the home theater to get the most out of it. Have no need for VCR.

I don't see that many people mention Replay or Tivo on the forums. Its a great machine.

I hope the RAA will allow DVD copiers soon. And not try to block it!

My husband is a movie freak, buff, whatever you want to call it. So, we buy ALOT of DVD's...in the meantime while we are waiting for the orders to arrive, we may rent one that he/we particularly like.

As for myself...I have purchased (through him of course) a few of the classics and all time faves that I like but, he generally buys most of them.
