Kotchy -- Funny, you don't look gibberish. ;)

I believe that religion is a bad excuse for philosophy. The main difference between the two is that at least, in philosophy, "I don't know." is an acceptable answer. :)

not in any of the conventional forms

BTW: why does someone always bring this thread up without providing an exact definition of god, by altering definitions it could be argued that everyone who is logical has to believe in god

"Religion" is a terrible word. It includes useless rituals that get you nowhere.

I do believe that Christ died for my sins though.

Harvey... I don't think God has much use for religions really, so what has that to do with the queestion, anyway :)

Yes... without a glimmer of a doubt.

I think an yes/no/maybe answer is not enough for this question.

Some of the people saying yes may be thinking about a man in a white robe that created the universe and is still making decisions about other people's life.

Others may think about some etheric power that created the universe and keeps everything in harmony.

And some others may think that god is a nuclear explosion that created the universe, but has no implication on its development.

So to be truly meaningfull, people should explain what god means to them and whether they believe in it or not.

AFAIK god is the explanation of everything we don't know. And as the human race knowledge changes with time so does the definition of god.
