Some people (and I don't want to name any names) are fond of posting little messages saying "kill youself" on any thread they don't deem worthy of their high standards.

Do you think this sends the wrong message to the youth of America (I'll assume that a large portion of AT users are young).

Everyone should have the right to terminate their own life in a painless, dignified manner if they so choose. If you don't have the freedom to do that, then all freedom is just an illusion anyway.

Only reason I voted "no" is because people at that point may be severely mentally ill and not even know it. The meds that folks with jobs and insurance can afford can literally change peoples' lives.

If there's a qualifying depression and/or sanity test, I'd be all for it.

MC Hammer? I know he'd make me want to kill myself.

I have no problem with suicide, personally. Of course no one I know has killed themself. And those I want to die never seem to do it themselves. Besides, with the sheer number and types of people we have running around, a little self-clorination of the genepool isn't so bad a thing.

In the end it's one of those things I'm in favor of but that never really does me any good.
