I have tried a few different beds and I sleep like crap no matter what I do. I am just not a sleeper if that makes sense. Give me a decent mattress that wont have springs popping up after a few years and I am happy.

I'd like to try one, but even if I did like it I'm not dropping $1k+ on a mattress. Sorry! Maybe when I'm older like *cough* pliablemoose![]()

I actually sell bedding so I can give you a general overview of mattress and the experiences I've collected over the years.
More often than not, people prefer something that is NOT solid memory foam, like tempurpedic, as their mattress. Memory foam tends to absorb and store heat, most people sleep fairly warm at night. Latex is generally not extremely comfortable as an entire sleep surface. It's pretty firm and probably too much so for most.
When the two are combined into a mattress, the results are pretty astounding. Memory foam and latex together seems to be one of the best combinations in a mattress. Usually there is some type of fiber above the memory foam to provide some breathing room between you and the visco to help dissipate some of the heat.
My best suggestion is to shop for a bed in a store. You can't possibly hope to get the best bed for you buying something online.
Expect to spend $1500-2000 on a good queen latex/memory foam bed.

I know one person who ordered it and because she got it in winter, the entire foam mattress thing was literally frozen solid. They said to give it a few days to thaw out but it never did.
So, if you order one, do it in the summer.![]()

All I can do is offer my experience from selling bedding for nearly 3 years. I can't tell you what everyone's comfort preferences are. Most couples tend to have similar comfort preferences, so for you two that mattress is probably a great solution. I used to get customers in my store that would lay on the hardest mattress in the place and ask what we had that was firmer! I could only point to the floorLike I said, my main point was that when you buy a bed, make sure you go into a store and lay down on them before making a decision. Very difficult to buy a bed and be sure you'll get something you'll love if you don't try it first.
